Full acoustic design, including noise break-in, internal sound insulation, external and internal plant noise, room acoustics, site supervision, and acoustic commissioning

Key issues:

Noise control of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), façade sound insulation, junction detailing of separating partitions, and treatment of building services.

Project Description:

Amplitude Acoustics was engaged to provide full acoustics design on 7 Community Nursing Units located across Ireland.  Each unit includes an en-suite bedroom, dayroom/sunroom, dining area, breakout spaces, activity spaces, quiet rooms, external spaces, and staff and nursing areas.  In addition, shared areas and therapy spaces are included with facilities including a family overnight stay room, clinical treatment rooms, physiotherapy and occupational therapy rooms, and hairdressers’ rooms.  The units range in size from 4000 m2 to 10000 m2, approximately. totalling approx. 44,358m2.
